Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life

Are you ready? This is your moment.
You’re here because you are seeking the truth and I’m glad you’ve arrived. Even if you’ve heard this before, today it falls on fresh ears. Ears, with the help of the Holy Spirit, that will truly hear. “So faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the [preaching of the] message concerning Christ.” Romans 10:17 (AMP)
Lord, open this reader’s ears. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. Alright, let’s get to the point. (Video prayer below)
Truth #1 – God loves you. He has hand-made you on purpose, for purpose. You have a destiny to fulfill and a reason to live. (Read Psalm 139) He wants you to know him and has already made a way for that to happen. It is through his Son, Jesus Christ.
Truth #2 – God is holy. That means he’s set apart and perfect. (Read Psalm 77:13) Because he created you, he wants to be your friend and for you to live forever in heaven with him when you die. God knew there was a problem though, something that would keep you separated from him forever if he didn’t help you.
Truth #3 – We have a problem called sin. Sin. The yucky stuff nobody really wants to talk about. These are the things that keep us separated from God (see where it started in Genesis 3). He’s perfect and we are not. Sin is actually an archery term, and it means “to miss the mark.” “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23 (NKJV) We have all missed the mark of God’s perfection. No matter how well we aim, we fall short.

Truth #4 – Sin must be paid for. “For the wages of sin is death…” Romans 6:23a (KJV) What does that mean? It means that is what we earn and deserve for our sin, is death; to be separated from God forever. Sounds harsh. But it only sounds that way because we don’t understand how holy he is. The standard is perfection to live with him. That’s why we need Jesus.
So, if the problem is sin, what’s the solution? How can we know this God who loves us? How can we get to heaven to be with God? How can we have this friendship with God? What do we do about the sin? The gross stuff in our hearts. The lies, the cheating, the talking back to parents, the stealing. What do we do about all that junk?
Perhaps you’re thinking, “You told me God loves me and wants a friendship with me and for me to live with him forever when I die.” That’s right, he does. And he knew no one could make themselves right with him. No one could clean their own heart. As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous— not even one.” Romans 3:10 (NLT) God had a rescue plan. That’s where the cross came in.

Truth #5 – God sent Jesus! Jesus, the Son of God, paid the price for you to come back home. For you to be forgiven and be made right with God the Father.
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 (NLT)
“Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.” 1 Peter 3:18 (NLT)
When Jesus was crucified on the cross for you, God placed everything bad you’ve ever done, eveything bad I’ve ever done, and everything bad all the people in the WORLD have ever done on him. That day on the cross, Jesus became our sin and paid the price that we owed. He bought us back.

The wage, remember? The payment for sin is death. Jesus’ perfect life fulfilled all God’s requirements of the law and his blood can make you clean. That’s why God can forgive you when you trust in Jesus, because his blood was shed for you. “Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.” Hebrews 9:22 (ESV) The innocent One died for the guilty.
THAT’S why Jesus did this. Out of love and compassion for us, he died in our place. Because we could never live a perfect life, he came down from heaven, lived here in this tough world and never did anything wrong. Never sinned. He never missed the mark. Not even with a little lie. He lived a perfect life and that’s why God accepted his sacrifice in our place.
“For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NLT)
Let me show you the rest of that verse from earlier. The one that starts out with bad news. But then look at what the promise is – “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 (NLT)

Yes! The free gift of God. It’s called MERCY. Not getting what you deserve. I’ll tell you how to receive the free gift soon.
When you accept what Jesus did for you on the cross, your life will change and you will begin to walk in freedom. Freedom from sin. Freedom from addiction. Freedom from caring what everyone else thinks about you.
You will begin to walk in the revelation that God the Father has adopted you into his Kingdom and you have become part of his family. At home. And royalty. In the truest sense of the word.
Truth #6 – Jesus isn’t dead. He’s alive! After Jesus paid the price for our sin on the cross, he was buried but three days later, God raised him from the dead! He went back to live in heaven so the Father could send the Holy Spirit and he is waiting for the Father to say it’s time to come back and get his people!

He’s coming back soon. That’s why I’m telling you this now. And you won’t want to miss him. He’s the most beautiful One I’ve ever known.
By his grace, God has made one and only one exception to come and be made right with him. It is to go through his Son Jesus. “‘Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.‘” John 14:6 (NKJV) This is the true story. The way back home.
Forgiveness, healing, wholeness, truth, wisdom, love. This can be your story. All yours when you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
He’s already paid the bill! It’s time to say yes to him. Let me show you how. You’re so close, keep reading.
This is where it gets fun. I’m excited for you. Today is when your story changes. Today is the day of salvation. You’ve lived long enough without him. It’s time to come home.
Below you’ll find out how to receive the free gift of God and be forgiven of your sin. Get ready because when you make this decision everything is going to change, even if you don’t “feel” anything.

Truth #7 – “Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.” Romans 10:13 (NLT) It’s a promise from God. And God never breaks his promises.
So, here’s what to do –
- Repent. That means you must change the way you think about sin and turn away from it. You need to admit to God that you have sinned and ask him for forgiveness. “Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.” Acts 3:19 (NLT) God loves you and will forgive any sin.
- Believe. Believe that when Jesus died on the cross, he died in your place, for your sin. Believe that he was raised three days later, conquering death, hell and the grave. “I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.” Revelation 1:18 (NKJV)
- Confess. Confess that Jesus is Lord of all, he’s over everything, including your heart and mind. That he is your Savior. “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 (NLT)
This is where the relationship begins. Sin breaks God’s heart and he loves you so much that he went to a great measure to rescue you. He wants you with him for eternity. He doesn’t want you to spend forever apart from him in hell. There are only two options. After we take our last breath, our spirit will go to heaven to be with the Lord, or hell to be separated from him for all eternity.
Let’s go to the cross. Surrender your life to Jesus and let him wash you clean. He’ll make you right with the Father. It’s time now. Watch this video and I’ll help you pray or see the prayer below.
PRAY WITH ME –
Jesus, thank you for coming to save me. Thank you for dying on the cross for me. Thank you for making me right with the Father. I repent and turn away from my sins. I believe you died on the cross for my sins, in my place. I believe you rose from the dead three days later. Today, I give you my life. I surrender my life completely to you and hold nothing back. Have your way in my life. Father, I come home today. I believe you’ve always wanted me. You are so wonderful. Holy Spirit, come fill me. Teach me how to love God and live for him. In Jesus’ Name, amen.

“In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents [that is, changes his inner self—his old way of thinking, regrets past sins, lives his life in a way that proves repentance; and seeks God’s purpose for his life].” Luke 15:10 (AMP)
Now what?
Well, it’s a beautiful journey ahead. You’ll want to learn him, love him and lean into him. Will it always be easy? No. But that’s why one of the names of the Lord is Immanuel which means “God with us.” He’s with us. Always.
Here’s some simple things you can do to start your journey.
- Get a bible. Read it. Mark it up. He’s going to begin to speak to your heart. Find someone you can trust to study it with you. Mark is a great book to start with. It’s filled with the message of God’s love, the miracles of Jesus and the wonderful truth of who he is.
- Pray. Just open your mouth and start talking. If you don’t know what to say, he loves to hear his Word, the Bible. Read it to him. Honestly, he’s been waiting for this moment for a long time, so just talk to him about anything. Then listen. He wants to speak to you.
- Find a church. You’ll need others to walk with you on this journey. As you grow, you will discover the gifts God has given you. The local church is a wonderful place to use them and grow in them. Look for a place where they preach the gospel and find out what they believe about Jesus. Make sure it is a place where the Spirit of God is welcomed and all his gifts are at work.
- Ask the Lord to open the eyes of your heart. The cross is just the beginning of experiencing God’s love. He has many things to share with you. The power of the Holy Spirit is one of them. Holy Spirit is so incredibly beautiful and powerful. I’ve found him to be a wonderful friend.
“And [I pray] that the eyes of your heart [the very center and core of your being] may be enlightened [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit], so that you will know and cherish the hope [the divine guarantee, the confident expectation] to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints (God’s people),” Ephesians 1:18 (AMP)
Welcome home. And welcome to the journey. You will find God to be faithful.
