That is the question. To the ones in limbo…
The clock is ticking. It’s almost that day. November 5th will come and go but the results of it will not.
If you’ve been avoiding the ballot box because you’re fed up with the news, the times we live in, or would just rather not get involved for the sake of “keeping your hands clean,” let me share a word with you.
There has always been a strong sense of gratitude in my heart to be able to vote. To not live in part of the world where one is barricaded in their own country without choice or voice. Thank you, Jesus. And out of this sense of gratitude, I urge you, we cannot sit idly by. The next generation is dependent on our voice. And our voice takes form of our vote.
So, if you’re a Christian and you have determined in your heart that you’re going to skip the election this year, I want you to please reconsider because your voice and your vote is very powerful.
The other day I received a word in the spirit in a different language and it was translated to “I live if I vote.” A strong word. Could a country die? Could America die? History tells us it’s happened in the past. We must stand and we must stand now.
I believe that we, as a nation, are at a crossroads and we, as God’s people, have a mandate on our lives to stand on the Word of God. So even if we don’t particularly care for either candidate, we must choose which one is most aligned with the Word of God. It is imperative that we vote, and we make our voice known.
The other morning I woke up and the Lord said, “Jeremiah 2:17.” It is a passage concerning Israel and the case that the Lord had made against her. It says, “Have you not brought this on yourselves by forsaking the Lord your God when he led you in the way?” NIV Another strong word. The Lord does not desire judgment. But the question is, have we forsaken the Lord? I don’t want that to be our story.
So, church, brothers and sisters in Christ, would you reconsider if you’ve been one that said, “I’m just gonna skip the election. It doesn’t matter anyway. I don’t like my choices.”
Would you reconsider and vote? Reconsider the Word of God. Reconsider the God-given priviledge to vote. Please stand. Please vote. It is imperative and heaven is watching.
Much love to you all.
Kathleen
