IGNORANCE, REBELLION OR ESTRANGEMENT

If you are alienated from Christ perhaps it’s one of three things.

Perhaps you’re ignorant to the truth of what Christ has done for you. Don’t be offended by the word ignorant. Ignorant simply means not knowing. If you don’t know, you don’t know.

Perhaps the reason why you’re alienated from Christ is because of rebellion. Purposely choosing to not follow Jesus and his desires for your life. Purposely choosing sin and yourself to be your god.

Or perhaps you’re alienated from Christ right now because of the cares of this world have lulled you to sleep and apathy has overtaken your soul. Once you walked with him and were close, but now you are estranged.

I have good news.

All three of these postures; ignorance, rebellion, and estrangement, have the same remedy. All three people can come into relationship, or back into relationship, with the One who died for their sin in one simple step.

The remedy is repentance. To turn away from sin and turn to Jesus. He is the source of all life.

And in Him, you will find out what real life is. What real peace is. And you’ll embrace, instead of rebel. You’ll be enlightened instead of remaining in the dark. You’ll be reconciled instead of living your own dreams without your Bridegroom.

Why does any of this matter? Because Jesus loves you. He didn’t die for nothing. He died for redemption. He died to be the perfect sacrifice for our sins. He died to bring us back to the Father.

Jesus is the Door and he always will be. He is the only way to the Father. Yes, the path to life is a narrow way and few find it, but man, you’re reading this today and can’t you feel him drawing you to himself? Can’t you hear his voice saying, “Come home. Enough with the shenanigans. I am everything you need.”

Drop the ignorance. Find out what your heart wants to know. Seek and ye shall find. It’s a promise. Drop the rebellion. Lay down the pride and let him in. Perhaps you need heart healing. Perhaps you need physical healing. Perhaps you need deliverance. Jesus is the source of all that. He wants to heal you and help you. And, dear brother and sister. If you are one that has once had the fire burning in you for our precious Savior Jesus Christ, today I speak fresh fire over you and the wind of the Holy Spirit to blow on the embers of your heart. You are alive more than you know. Jesus wants to breath his breath freshly into you today.

No matter which one you are, come to Jesus. Repent. He’s waiting with arms open wide. It will definitely be the step in the right direction.
