A NEW ME, A NEW YOU

Yes, a blank slate.

A brand-new portion of my life began about three and a half years ago when I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. If you’d like to know what that is, click here. He has made my life very exciting, challenging and faith-building as I am learning to walk in his glory, be attuned to the voice of the Lord and obedient to his commands. He has freed me from anger, perfectionism, pride, and given me a true heart of worship, passion and a depth of love for Jesus I did not have before.

Although I had given myself to the Lord when I was nine and received him as my Lord and Savior, I am grateful that the Holy Spirit showed that his desire was that I would know the Lord more and walk with him on a deeper level than I had in the past. So, through a time of inner turmoil and reflecting on things I grew up believing, the Lord challenged me to look at his Word with fresh eyes and a new perspective. He encouraged me to read other’s experiences as well and this opened my eyes to a whole new world of discovering the Holy Spirit through his baptism.

I firmly believe that the church is unnecessarily lonely because they do not have close fellowship with the Holy Spirit. One of the first things he revealed, was that his heart is broken because most of the church does not know him as Immanuel, God WITH us.

So, it is my heart’s desire for every believer to walk in this closeness, to know him as Immanuel and experience the love, joy, freedom, and beauty he has shown me. Why? Because that’s what we’re made for. We were MADE for this. We were made for relationship with our Creator and a close one. You know? Like the garden. Where God walked and talked with Adam. He wants to walk and talk with you. Not like a genie Jesus. Or an On-Demand Jesus. Like a father, like a brother, like a friend, like a lover. Intimate in all your ways.

Perhaps the Lord is giving you a blank slate today too.

Holy Spirit is here to guide us into all truth. My prayer is that through this blog, we can grow together. To see life from a heavenly perspective instead of being stuck down here from this point of view. For goodness sake, the Word says we are seated in heavenly places with Christ. (See Ephesians 2:5-7) It’s time to see the way he sees. So, together, let’s let him show us a better way. Let’s let him show us HIS way. Aren’t you tired of doing it your way? I am.

We love you, Jesus. It’s all about you and there IS joy in the journey with you!! There is JOY! Thank you, precious Holy Spirit. I honor you in my life and give you space and a place to rest. Come, rest on me and this reader. And in your mighty power, we will accomplish many things as we partner with you! In Jesus’ Name, amen.

Hallelujah. What a friend we have in Jesus!
